Rubies in Paradise Cove are used as premium currency. They are gained from doing mermaid spins, tapping whales, some quest and in game purchasing using real money.
Rubies can be used for :-
- Purchasing Merchants, Houses, Ships and Decorations.
- Speeding things up (Exploring, Building, Voyaging, Repairing). The going rate appears to be 1 ruby per 1/2 hour or part thereof requiring speedup.
- Crafting things (Golden Cannon/Golden Armour).
- Trading. Some goods are offered with rubies as part payment.
WARNING!!!! I have had a cove refuse to load after I accumulated more than 10,000 rubies!
